tribute to Arashi

Our mascot, Arashi the African pygmy Hedgehog died. He’s 2+ yr old (average lifespan 3-5 yr). He lived a happy life, he had enough (expensive)food & water, his own space, he was the “taiko” in clan, he had a baby with his girlfriend, he actually whistled when he saw a female hedgie (a hedgehog can/will whistles when he/she is happy!). He was the only survivor out of 6 siblings, hence the name “Arashi” which means storm in Japanese. We don’t really have a solid reason why we chose him as our mascot, but he’s a tough li’l fellow. We’ll miss you dearly..I know I will.
